Our opinion of the Pink ES55
Small enough to fit in your pocket, cheap enough not to break the bank and astounding results to boot. We could leave our pink ES55 review at that and have said nearly everything there is to say. We won’t though, we’ll go on to mention the almost endless features that Samsung have packed into the ES55, such as the multi-face detection system (that can detect up to 11 faces in the shot) to ensure the optimum settings and focus are automatically selected. It even warns you if someone in the photo has blinked just at the wrong moment so that you can take another shot.
The li-on battery is, in our view, a much better option that AA batteries – after charging the battery seems to last for hundreds of shots before it needs topping up. The downside is only if you should go on holiday and forget to take the charger with you it is not as easy as popping to the nearest shop to buy batteries. As long as you don’t forget, you’ll never have a problem (Tip – keep your charger in the same drawer as you passport and you’re safe!)
Finally, we found our pink Samsung ES55 very simple to use and would be more than happy to take it with us for everyday use.

The Cybershot S930 is a great little pink camera from Sony, at a really great price. It’s extremely easy for the entire family to use, with minimal buttons to set the options and a 2.4″ screen which makes it really easy to see what you are doing. The S930 runs of off AA batteries, a set of single use ones are supplies, but we recommend to get a set of NiMH rechargables so that you don’t need to spend lots of extra money on those. Also, you’ll need a Memory Stick although there is a small amount of flash memory built-in, so at least you’ll be able to get started.10 Megapixels
3x Optical Zoom
Guide Price – Around £70 to £90
