Compact Pink Digital Camera Panasonic DMC FS40 – Bright F2.5 LEICA DC Lens with 24mm Ultra Wide-angle and 14.1-megapixel CCD

The pink DMC-FS40 camera incorporates bright F2.5 LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMARIT lens from 24mm ultra wide-angle. The F2.5 lens is approximately 25% brighter than the F2.8 lens which is already generally considered to be a bright lens. The lens enables use of a faster shutter speed while still capturing  clear and sharp images with no blurring even when you are shooting in low lighting situations. Using the Intelligent Zoom functionality, the 5x optical zoom doubles its effective power from 5x to 10x equivalent. This is made possible by using digital zoom functionality with a minimum of deterioration to the overall quality of the image, thanks to the built-in Intelligent Resolution technology.

High Quality and Speed Recording

The pink camera DMC-FS40 can record 14.1-megapixel high-resolution photos. The Sonic Speed Auto Focus helps to catch even the most fleeting photo opportunities. When recording videos, the pink DMC-FS40 is capable of recording motion pictures in high-definition (1,280 x 720 pixels in Motion JPEG format). With the LUMIX Image Uploader, you will be able to directly upload photos into Facebook™ as well as loading videos to YouTube™ with ease.

MEGA O.I.S. Anti-blur Technology

The MEGA Optical Image Stabilisation compensates for blurring caused by your hands shaking while holding the camera to take the shot. As well as correcting the image digitally, MEGA O.I.S. is able to correct jolts of light axis by shifting the O.I.S. lens unit to compensate it. The recorded image is, as a result not affected digitally and it not deteriorated in any way. The MEGA O.I.S. makes it possible to shoot even in the failing evening light or in poorly lit rooms. It even works on zoom and macro shots – shots which are normally heavily susceptible to camera-shake. Together with the bright LEICA DC lens, the DMC-FS40 powerfully suppresses blurring.

Intelligent Auto mode

As you would expect from a high quality pink digital camera, in Intelligent Auto (iA) Mode, advanced detection functions work automatically and simultaneously to make sure your shot is made using  optimal settings, which makes it very easy to take beautiful shots, every time. The iA Mode includes the MEGA O.I.S. (see above) to detect hand-shake, Intelligent ISO Control to detect subject movement, automatic Face Detection AF/AE to detect where the faces are in the frame to automatically adjust the brightness of the face properly, Intelligent Scene Selector to detect scene conditions, and Intelligent Exposure to detect the brightness level. All these settings are taken care of for you, so you can get excellent results just by point and shoot.

Creative Modes

If you are feeling creative, “Beauty Retouch Mode” makes it possible to apply virtual make-up onto the faces in the shot.   The “Auto Retouch” function adjusts contrast and brightness to give different impression to the photo with just a press of the button, so you can perfect the shot. The Scene Mode lets the camera make the optimal settings for you automatically, so anybody can take superb photos with ease. The Panorama Shot in the Scene Mode makes it possible to shoot horizontal / vertical panoramic images by overlaying consequently shot images – great for 360° panoramas at the top of tall buildings or mountain ranges.
